Summary

VideoCompressor is a 100% client-side tool. Your video files are processed entirely in your browser using WebAssembly technology. No files are ever uploaded to any server. No personal data is collected.

Data We Collect

We do not collect any personal information. We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-first, cookieless analytics tool that collects anonymous usage data such as page views and referral sources. No cookies are used, and no personal data is tracked.

Your Video Files

All video compression happens locally in your browser. Your files are never uploaded to any server, stored in any database, or transmitted over the internet. When you close the browser tab, all data is gone.

Error Tracking

We use Sentry for JavaScript error tracking to improve the application. Sentry captures only technical error details (stack traces, browser version) and never includes any video file data or personal information.

Cookies

VideoCompressor does not use cookies. Your theme preference (dark/light mode) is stored in your browser's localStorage and is not transmitted to any server.

GDPR / CCPA

Because we do not collect personal data, VideoCompressor is compliant with GDPR and CCPA by design. There is nothing to delete because nothing is stored.
